(dailyconservative) – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) may not be one of President Donald Trump’s biggest fans right now, but he did think Twitter went too far in banning the president permanently from the platform.
“Twitter may ban me for this but I willingly accept that fate: Your decision to permanently ban President Trump is a serious mistake,” Graham said, pointing out that the Ayatollah of Iran has not been banned.
Twitter said the risk of harm from Trump’s tweets was too great to allow him to remain a user after his words to protesters were blamed for inciting a riot at the Capitol on Wednesday that led to three deaths, along with three others that stemmed from the wider, peaceful part of the protest.
Trouble is, Trump didn’t call for violence in any way and called immediately for it to stop when he found out it was happening. Graham knows what a lot of others, including some liberals that have criticized Twitter’s decision, know.
If Twitter gets away with banning Trump, he many other Republicans, and likely some Democrats are likely to be next. Free speech as we have known it for over 200 years in America is over.
