(trendingpoliticsnews) – Amidst the ongoing investigations surrounding the 2020 election challenges, Fulton County officials have released the mugshot of former New York City Mayor and President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.
Giuliani’s mugshot was taken as part of the formal booking process following his indictment. Giuliani, who once held the esteemed position of U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has found himself at the epicenter of a storm of legal battles since taking up the mantle to challenge the 2020 election outcomes.
His advocacy for Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud made him a polarizing figure, earning praise from Trump supporters and persecution from elected opponents.
After leaving the jail, Giuliani blasted D.A. Fani Willis, saying she will “go down in history” for attacking the US constitution.
“Fani Willis will go down in American history and having conducted one of the worst attacks on the American Constitution ever when this case is dismissed. She has violated people’s First Amendment right to petition the government for grievances like an election they believe was poorly conducted or falsely conducted. People have a right to believe that.”
The investigation into alleged election interference in Georgia has already seen the indictment of several key figures, including Giuliani’s colleague, attorney John Eastman, and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
Rudy Giuliani announced earlier today that he turned himself in to Georgia prosecutors who have charged him in a scheme alleging he, Trump, and 17 others conspired to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
“I’m feeling very, very good about it because I feel like I am defending the rights of all Americans as I did so many times as a United States Attorney… I’m the same Rudy Giuliani that took down the mafia, made New York City the safest city in America… and I’m fighting for justice. I have from the first moment I represented Donald Trump,” said Giuliani.
“I don’t know how many times he has to be proven innocent and they have to be proven to be liars. Actually enemies of all the public who are destroying rights, sacred rights. They’re destroying my right to counsel, my right to be a lawyer. They’re destroying his right to counsel. It’s not accidental that they’ve indicted all his lawyers,” he added.

The man once popularly known as “America’s Mayor” will now sit with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her team to discuss the charges against him involving racketeering and conspiracy, which are more widely known for being used against mobsters and criminal enterprises. He will soon be joined by President Trump, who announced on Truth Social Wednesday that he would “be proudly arrested” on Thursday.
Giuliani will benefit from the attack dog lawyers representing Trump and his attorneys who have been charged. Alina Habba, a member of the former president’s legal team, has been a high-profile surrogate on cable news programs, denouncing the Georgia investigation as “desperation at its best” and similarly referring to the federal election fraud case against Trump as based in “ridiculous” legal arguments. Lawyers for Trump and the 18 other defendants are motioning to have the case moved out of state court to the federal level, arguing DA Willis does not have jurisdiction to prosecute actions performed by former federal employees.
Willis, a Democrat elected in 2020, will need to rely on her political instincts to survive a trial in the court of public opinion during the case. President Trump has accused her of having an affair with a gang leader she later prosecuted, and a Georgia state senator has requested the state legislature convene an emergency session to review her prosecutorial conduct, typically the first step before impeachment proceedings.
