BREAKING: Trump Co-Defendant Pleads Guilty, Will Testify For Prosecution

(trendingpoliticsnews) – One of former President Donald Trump’s 18 co-defendants in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ RICO case has agreed to a plea deal and will testify for the prosecution, according to a report from NBC News.

Scott Hall, 59, has pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor charges and will be sentenced to five years’ probation if he follows through with the terms of the deal. Hall pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of an election.

“Do you understand that conditions of your probation in this sentence is that you testify truthfully at any further court proceedings to include trials of any co-defendants that is listed on the original indictment in which you were charged,” the district attorney’s office asked Hall in a hearing Friday before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.

“Yes ma’am,” he replied.

Hall, a bail bondsman, was charged over his involvement with a voting system “breach” in Coffee County, Georgia, where a number of Trump officials and attorneys surveyed voting machines. Attorneys for former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell have stated that they were invited to view the machines, rejecting Willis’ characterization of the meeting.

In the indictment, Hall was charged with a number of misdemeanor and felony charges, including two counts of conspiracy to commit election fraud; conspiracy to commit computer theft; conspiracy to commit computer trespass; conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy; and conspiracy to defraud the state.

Hall, a bail bondsman, was the first of 19 defendants to surrender at the Fulton County jail.

In addition to five years’ probation, Hall will also be required to write an apology letter to the state, pay a $5,000 fine, complete 200 hours of community service and provide the district attorney’s office with a recorded statement.
