BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene Defies Eric Adams, Announces NYC Rally For Trump’s Arraignment

(trendingpoliticsnews) – Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced a rally in New York City for Donald Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday.

“Join me TOMORROW at 10:30 AM with [the New York Republican’s Club] to protest the political persecution of President Donald J. Trump in NYC at Collect Pond Park,” Greene tweeted. “Wear your MAGA hats!! RSVP to attend.”

According to the Event Brite entry the rally will be co-hosted with media personalities Jack Posobiec and Graham Allen.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned Greene, who had to stand trial over the January 6 riots, that “while you’re in town, best be on your best behavior.”

Greene shot back a retort to Adams after his warning.

“Delusional NYC Mayor Adams is trying to intimidate, threaten, and stop me from using my 1st amendment rights to peacefully protest the Democrat’s unconstitutional weaponization of our justice system against our top Republican Presidential candidate, President Trump,” Greene tweeted. “Mayor Adams should be more concerned about NY citizens and taxpayers being murdered, raped, robbed, and carjacked than an elected Member of Congress coming to town. Or should I be the one concerned that the mayor of NYC will weaponize his government or maybe his thugs like DA Alvin Bragg against me?”

She had more to say to New York City’s mayor over her planned appearance.

“In Mayor Eric Adams City of New York, an average of 8 people overdose on drugs every single day because of his PRO drug policy,” she wrote on Twitter. “He wants more drug use centers stocked with syringes, straws for snorting, and other drug paraphernalia to help NY’s poor drug addicts kill themselves. Drug overdoses account for 80 to 85% of accidental deaths in New York City. That’s a fatal overdose every 3 hours! And now Mayor Adams is threatening me. Unbelievable.”

In May, Democratic-backed prosecutors attempted to remove Greene from office over her alleged role in the January 6 riots. She ultimately prevailed against the charges that she gave aid and comfort to enemies of the United States during the so-called “insurrection.”

Her attorney James Bopp told ABC News that the challenge to Greene was “absurd” and that it shouldn’t be up to judges to decide who represents Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.

“Those voters have a right to vote for the candidate of their choosing. And they have a right to have their vote counted,” he told the court. He added that Greene was not a perpetrator but a “victim” of the attack, which he argued was “despicable,” but was not an insurrection.

As Trump supporters descend on Manhattan to give encouragement to the former president, the Democrats will undoubtedly be seeking to frame any rally as a potential “insurrection.”

Amid the brewing powderkeg situation, Donald Trump appeared calm and relaxed. He smiled and waved at his supporters as he arrived at Trump Tower ahead of his arraignment on Tuesday.

In New York City, supporters chanted “We Love Trump” as NYPD choppers fly overhead outside of Trump Tower.

There were edgy slogans being shouted among the Trump supporters.

Trump supporters who attend any rallies or protests better be extremely careful that everyone in the crowd remains peaceful and calm. It will only take a handful of unruly protesters — whether they truly support Donald Trump or not — for the corporate media to start shouting about another “insurrection.”
