BREAKING: Biden Refuses To Comment on President Trump’s Grand Jury Indictment

(trendingpoliticsnews) – President Joe Biden was confronted on the White House lawn on Friday about the Manhattan District Attorney’s felony indictment of former President Donald Trump.

“Are you worried this will further divide our country?” a reporter asked Biden. “The indictment?”

“I have no comment on that,” Biden said.

The president was asked by another reporter about “possible protests in the wake of the indictment.”

“No, I’m not going to talk about the Trump indictment,” Biden replied.

He was also asked about former President Trump’s indictment and what it means for “the rule of law” in the country.

“I have no comment at all on Trump,” he reiterated.

Former President Trump in a statement about the indictment is that it is “Political Persecution” and “Election Interference at the highest level in history.”

“I believe this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden,” Trump said. “The American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our Movement, and our Party – united and strong – will first defeat Alvin Bragg, and then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we are going to throw every last one of these Crooked Democrats out of office so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

NBC News reports that Biden “has all but locked up the Democratic nomination already, despite relatively low job approval ratings.”

“The fact that he doesn’t have a primary challenge given his 38% poll numbers and the inflation rate and that he’s 80 years old is remarkable,” said a longtime Democratic fundraiser and Biden supporter. “Why would you ever announce when you’ve cleared the field without doing any work to beat anybody down? You could wait until June 2024 to announce.”

The Wall Street Journal claimed that the indictment should boost Trump’s prospects in the GOP primary, but could harm his general election fortunes.

“The indictment of Donald Trump is unlikely to derail his 2024 White House bid and could help in the GOP primary, but it could also further alienate swing voters turned off by the controversies that continue to swirl around him since he left office,” the story argued.

Biden is off on a 20-state whirlwind tour to discuss jobs and employment in America, beginning in Mississippi. It appears that the president has gotten his talking points: Keep your mouth shut about Trump.
